I began teaching with a private piano studio back in high school in 1991. My public teaching career began in 2000 upon graduation from college. As a former military spouse, I have taught in several locations. I am glad to call East Texas and Whitewright ISD my home. I have been a Director of Bands, Assistant Band Director, Color Guard Instructor, Choir Director, Piano Instructor, General Music Teacher, and Elementary Music Teacher over my career.
I am a proud parent of our daughter here at Whitewright High School. She is active in sports, band and color guard, and church. We own three dogs, Baylee, Rowdy, and Koda. My better half is a firefighter and security officer. In our spare time he runs his own roadside assistance business. Personally I like to run and swim, do puzzles, listen to music, and watch the sunrise and sunset.
