Hello! I am Paula Bodine and I am in my 30th year as a classroom teacher. I have been at Whitewright ISD for the past 28 years. I have one daughter, Marka, who teaches 6th Grade English Language Arts in Tomball ISD. My son-in-law, Jordan, is an 8th Grade American History teacher in Magnolia ISD.
I was raised in Iowa Park, Texas and graduated from IPHS in 1984. I graduated from Midwestern State University with a Bachelor of Science in Education in 1987 and from East Texas State University with a Master of Education in Administration in 1996.
I enjoy traveling. New York City is one of my favorite cities to visit for Broadway shows, shopping, and tourist attractions. I have been to eleven countries and have seen the most beautiful cities in the world. If it is through walking the streets of Pompeii, the Montmartre District in Paris, The Chain Bridges in Budapest, or any other monument of human desire for beauty, I hope to bring these experiences into my classroom. I want my students to see the extraordinary in the ordinary. I think my most gratifying moments in teaching your children would be that moment that they discover a talent or interest that they did not know they possessed.
I am very proud and privileged to have the opportunity to teach your child at Whitewright Middle School.
