5th Grade Teachers

Gail Emerson will be joining us from the 4th grade to teach Language Arts.  You all know that Mrs. Emerson came from Australia where she taught for many years and she has been teaching at Whitewright ISD for 15 years.  In her spare time she enjoys cooking gourmet meals for her husband Cliff and friends.  She also enjoys gardening.  Her son Christopher recently married and she is hoping for grandchildren SOON!!!!

Cindy Wortham teaches Science and Social Studies.  She has 24 years of teaching experience.  She taught in Oklahoma, Virignia and Texas.  She has been with Whitewright ISD for 7 years.  Mrs. Wortham has two children.  Her daughter, Brittney, is a Junior at Whitewright High School this year and is active in Varsity Cheerleading, Cross Country, Powerlifting, Softball and track.  Her son, Blane, is a Freshman at WW High School he is involved in Football, Basketball, Baseball and Golf.  In her spare time Mrs. Wortham enjoys spending time with her children, husband Jimmy, pug Larry, kittens Abby and Snowball. 

Kelli Kempson teaches Math.  This is her third year to teach, her second year at Whitewright ISD.  Her husband Phil Kempson teaches and coaches at Whitewright High School. In May, they celebrated the birth of their daughter, Allie.  Mrs. Kempson loves teaching Math and working at Whitewright Elementary!  In her spare time (what is that?)  she enjoys playing with her daughter, watching movies with  her husband, and supporting the Whitewright Tigers!
