I grauated from Whitewright ISD in 1984 and went to school at Grayson County College afterwards studying math and engineering. Then I went on a haitus from school from 1987 until J&J shut down in 2003. At that point, I returned to GCC for one semester and got my Associates Degree in Secondary Education and then transferred to SOSU in Durant where I got my degree in Mathematics Education. I graduated from SOSU in 2005.
During my hiatus from school while working at J&J, I joined the Whitewright Volunteer Fire Dept. and the Johnson & Johnson Emergency Brigade where I became a certified EMT, firefighter, and HAZ MAT specialist at the technician level.
I am a Whitewright native and all of my immdiate family are also Whitewright natives.
My parents both graduated from Whitewright ISD, my wife and I both gradusted from Whitewright ISD, and my three children also all graduated from Whitewright ISD.
I worked for Johnson & Johnson for 17yrs as a machine operator, industrial instructor, and as a firefighter/EMT.
When Johnson & Johnson shut down in 2003, I went batck to college at SOSU in Durant and finished my degree in math education and begane teaching in 2005.
I taught at Denison ISD, Bonham ISD, and Tom Bean ISD before finally arriving at Whitewright ISD and this will be my 7th year at Whitewright. I have taught a total of 14yrs.
