I grew up in East Texas in Athens, but finished my last two years of school in Wylie and graduated from Wylie High School.
I received my Bachelor of Arts in Geography from Macalester College in St. Paul, Minnesota. I received my Master of Education in Administration from Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas.
I am excited to be a part of Tigerland and am looking forward to the 2017-18 school year.
I have been in education since 2003, serving as a teacher, coach, Assistant Principal, and Principal before arriving in Whitewright. I am beginning my sixth year as an administrator and fifteenth year in education this year. Prior to my arrival in Whitewright, I served as Principal of Community High School for three years. I was the Assistant Principal at Crandall High School for one year before arriving at Community.
I have been married for ten years (8/11/17) to my wife, Erin. I have four children, of which three will be attending Whitewright ISD this year. Jeffery is 14 and will be a 9th grader at WHS (poor guy, first time with Dad at school), Luke is 8 and will be a 3rd grader at WES, Cheyenne is 5 and also attending WES this year to start Kindergarten, and Hunter is 2. We recently built a home in Denison and plan on sticking around awhile!
My hobby is Star Wars, as I am a Jedi like my father before me. =)
