Course Description

A&P is an intensive study of the structures and functions of the human body.  The purpose of this course is to prepare students for future advanced classes by building a good foundation of skills and knowledge in the areas of medicine and healthcare. This course will enhance the students’ laboratory skills, 21st century skills, and overall level of scientific thought.  Students will be viewing human bodies in the nude and dissecting specimen as appropriate to the corresponding units within the curriculum.   Students will be grouped together throughout the year to complete projects and dissections.
