School Board Members for Serving the Children in Our Community!
January is School Board Recognition Month—a great time to focus on the crucial role an elected board of trustees plays in our communities and schools. They are extraordinary people who voluntarily tackle the enormous job of governing school districts. Their actions and decisions affect the present and future lives of our children. While educating children may not be rocket science, it is a complex, demanding responsibility: ensuring that schools are available, qualified teachers are in place, buildings are safe, and resources are provided. Our Board members commit to reading reports, learning the laws, understanding the community’s needs, and wisely handle the district’s financial resources.
Whether it involves stretching the district’s dollars as far as possible or taking the time to understand complicated legislation affecting our schools — the board fully gives of both the heart and the hands to do what’s best for students.
We would like to say "Thank You" for your service to Whitewright ISD. Please take a moment to say thank you for the work school board members are doing on your behalf.
